Khan's Attack

The game

Khan's Attack is a tower defense taking place in 1550, during Altan Khan's invasion of the Chinese Empire. Take command and defend the capital by building different towers and adapting your strategy by changing their ammunitions ! 

Key features 

Zone system

Unlike classic tower defense games, an enemy reaching the end of the path won't make you lose lives, but they'll start to attack the door until they are killed... or the door is destroyed ! If the latter happens, you will get all your resources back and have to defend the next zone. If all three consecutive zones are lost, the game will be lost so be careful !

Ammunitions

This time, no tower upgrade system, but an ammunition system allowing to slow enemies down with poison, deal damage over time with fire or big zone damage with explosive ammunitions ! Switch between ammunition types without cooldown time and unleash all your towers' power on them !

Immersion and narration

A simple interface, epic musics and an overall thoughtful sound design puts immersion first, to make you feel like you're in the middle of the battle ! Also, your second in command, Yao Huan, will come and tell you about strategies and mechanics during the course of your game, so don't hesitate to think about what he informs you of !

Other

Since we are french students, all the game's voice acting is in french. We don't plan on adding any other voice acting.

The game's language can be set in the main menu, by clicking on the "FR" and "EN" buttons at the bottom-right corner of the screen.

Post scriptum - dev notes

This is a student project, made by six people in total, in a total of four weeks. We are students at the french Brassart Grenoble school, two in first year of Game Design class and four in first year of 3D Art class (plus three, one in game design and two in 3D Art who voiced the game).

Please comment here on the itch.io page to give feedback, and the project won't (very probably) be updated, so it is not really important to talk about bugs, except for game-blocking/crashing issues, that I (Némo, lead game designer/programmer) will try to address if I find time to.
